Scope
Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to website visitors, applicants, tenants, landlords, letting agents, team members, and anyone who uses a DoorHop-powered workflow.
A live DoorHop workspace may also be operated by a letting agency, landlord, housing provider, programme, or council. That organisation may have its own service terms, complaints process, and privacy responsibilities in addition to these platform terms.
By continuing to use DoorHop, you agree to these terms together with the Privacy Policy and Cookies page.
Use
Using DoorHop properly
- Use DoorHop only for genuine housing, tenancy, property-management, and service-delivery activity.
- Provide accurate information when creating accounts, submitting forms, sharing documents, or updating tenancy records.
- Only access records, messages, and workflows that belong to you or that you are authorised to manage.
DoorHop is not designed for unrelated marketing, bulk data collection, or activity that falls outside the housing workflow being delivered.
Security
Accounts and password security
You are responsible for keeping your login details private, using a strong password, and reporting any suspected unauthorised access quickly.
- Do not share account credentials with another person.
- Do not attempt to bypass permissions, rate limits, or security checks.
- If you think your account has been used incorrectly, contact the relevant operator or use the problem reporting route without delay.
Conduct
Acceptable use
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, or fraudulent content.
- Do not impersonate another person, organisation, tenant, landlord, or agent.
- Do not introduce malware, attempt scraping, overload the service, or interfere with normal operation.
- Do not use DoorHop to harass, intimidate, or target another person involved in a housing case or tenancy.
DoorHop operators may suspend access, remove content, or investigate activity where misuse, security risk, or safeguarding concerns are identified.
Content
Records, uploads, and messages
Documents, messages, notes, agreements, inventory records, and maintenance updates submitted through DoorHop may be visible to authorised users connected to the relevant workflow.
Users should only upload material that is relevant to the housing or tenancy process. DoorHop and the workspace operator may retain operational and audit records where needed for service delivery, disputes, compliance, or security.
Service
Availability, changes, and service limits
DoorHop may change features, workflows, or page content over time. Planned maintenance, upgrades, or unexpected outages may affect availability.
- DoorHop is a working housing platform, not an emergency service.
- Users should keep copies of critical documents where their organisation requires it.
- If a local operator adds council or programme-specific rules, those should be reviewed before public rollout.
